Become Recognized

Every veteran has a story worth preserving.

Veteran Visitor invites veterans and families to share that story — so a life of service can be recognized, remembered, and honored.

Who Can Submit

If you are a veteran, a spouse, a son or daughter, a grandchild, a caregiver, or a friend who wants to preserve a veteran’s story — you are welcome here. Listings for deceased veterans are welcomed.

Not sure whether a veteran qualifies? Contact us and ask. We would rather answer a question than have a story go untold.

What The Listed Veteran Receives

  • A commemorative Veteran Visitor challenge coin
  • A personalized certificate of appreciation
  • A published Veteran Visitor listing
  • Public appreciation for their service, shared with the world
  • Inclusion in a growing archive honoring those who served

What To Submit

  • A clear photograph of the veteran
  • A 200-400 word story about the veteran’s life — before service, during service, and after service
  • Basic contact information so we can follow up if needed

Story Guide

Before service — Who was this person before they put on a uniform?
During service — What branch? Where did they serve? What do you want people to know?
After service — What did life look like when they came home?
(Don’t worry about perfect writing. Tell us what you know. We’ll take it from there.)

What Happened Next

Your submission is reviewed and lightly prepared for publication. Please allow approximately two to three weeks. We will follow up if we have questions. NOTE: We have the right to refuse listing for any reason.
